Micro blading is a way of implanting pigment under the epidermis using a specially designed tiny blade which leaves thin realistic hair strokes for the most natural finish. Together we design a brow which is totally bespoke to you – your colour will be chosen by you from the highest quality pigments. With this method Kay can create almost any look, from a very natural light finish or a beautifully bold brow. Sparse or missing brows can be completely restored. When using the hand held micro blade, the colour is deposited closer to the surface than when a machine is used leaving very fine and crisp hair strokes with no spilling under the skin.
Micro blading originated in Asia and is also known as eyebrow embroidery.
A fantastic treatment for anyone looking to improve or enhance the appearance of their eyebrows.
This is a 2 part procedure and patients is a must!!
We advise booking in for your prep (30 mins) a few days before which includes your eyebrow wax/ tint/patch test/ measuring and full consultation. You will then need to book your microblading, which can take upto 1 1/2-2 hours to complete. Initially your brows will appear darker while healing, however please take note that when the scabbing subsides the hair strokes will appear lighter, even possibly disappear. It is only at weeks 4-6 that we are able to see the full colour of your brows. You will then need to book in for your top up(included in price)- this is a must, otherwise the treatment will not last. Depending on your skin type and lifestyle, follow up top up's may be required after initial top up also. Once you have achieved your perfect brow, it can last anything from 8-18 months.
For any further enquiries, please don't hesitate to give us a call.
Prior to your microblading think about the look that you wish to achieve. As experts in the field of colour analysis and makeovers, we ensure that the correct colours and styles are chosen for you, however you are a huge part of the decision-making process.
Microblading will normally require multiple application sessions. To achieve the best results you will be required to return for at least one control procedure four to six weeks after the initial application.
Be prepared for the colour intensity to be significantly sharper and darker immediately after the procedure. This will subside and become softer as the skin heals. This process can take up to fourteen days.
The area treated may show redness and swelling and that the colour looks dark and intense – this is quite normal.
You may notice whiteness or blanching around the area, this is quite normal and will subside within 12 hours. If you find any lymphatic fluid or blood weeping you can gently clean the area with saline, cool boiled water and gauze, blotting gently dry to remove any moisture.
Additional treatments cannot be undertaken until the area has completely healed. A 4/6 week healing time is required before any more work can be undertaken, make sure you book in for your top up. Micro blading is a 2 part treatment and you MUST come back for your top up.
In order to let your brows heal well, avoid water on the brow area, make up to the brow area, the gym, sauna or pool for 7 days.
Once the area has healed completely, approximately one week, consider using a waterproof total sunblock when going out in the sun to stop the colour fading.
Strong chemicals or glycolic acid/peels of any kind may cause the pigment to lighten.
Avoid booking your microblading if you are due to go on holiday within the first month of the procedure.
Do not pick or pull at the treated area as it will result in pigment loss. You will go through three healing phases:
With clean hands and a cotton bud apply a fine layer of after care balm/oil to the treated area. Repeat this procedure up to 3 times a day if the area feels tight.
After the fine scabbing has sloughed away you will see a different hue to the colour implanted.
